Party site turns into a pumpkin
Home entertainment retailer GreatEntertaining.com is shutting down shop later this month. "Market conditions are preventing us from continuing to build our business," President Christy Ross wrote in a letter on the site's home page. "We understand that with the recent success of our clearance sales, we have slipped from our usually high standards of order fulfillment and customer service. However, we felt it best for our loyal customers to receive the benefits of deep discounting rather than the liquidators." GreatEntertaining.com will take orders through Jan. 29, and maintain its customer service department until Feb. 15.
