E*Trade and Target beef up partnership

E*TRADE Group Inc. and Target Corp. plan to introduce E*TRADE Zones at 20 SuperTarget stores across the U.S. in 2001. The first E*TRADE Zone opened in a Roswell, Ga., SuperTarget store in September 2000.

The E*TRADE Zone offers onsite assistance from licensed customer service representatives and workstations with access to E*TRADE. E*TRADE and Target also operate a co-branded web site located at www.target.etrade.com, which is designed to give customers a better understanding of the financial tools and services offered by E*TRADE, in addition to giving Target guests special value-added offers when they open E*TRADE Bank and/or E*TRADE Securities, Inc. 1 brokerage account through the co-branded site.
