Sears Holdings names David McCreight president of Lands’ End
David McCreight, a former chief merchant for Lands’ End who became its interim president in August, was formally named president today, Sears Holdings said.
Sears also named former IBM executive Maureen McGuire to the new position of corporate executive vice president and chief marketing officer, overseeing marketing operations for Sears, Roebuck and Co., Kmart, and the Customer Direct online and catalog operations. McGuire spent 30 years at IBM, most recently as vice president of strategy and marketing for the worldwide systems and marketing group.
McCreight, who reports to Sears Holdings chairman Edward Lampert, joined Lands’ End in 2003 as its chief merchant and took over as interim president in August following the departure of Mindy Meads. “David has moved quickly to inject energy into the Lands` End organization
and to foster collaboration with Sears Holdings," Lampert said. "With David`s background and experience, we look forward to his
leadership in extending and expanding the Lands` End brand with the quality,
value and service that it has long been known for."
