Build-A-Bear Workshop’s Q3 web sales rise 54% year-over-year
Internet sales at Build-A-Bear Workshop Inc. rose 54.2% for the third quarter ended Oct. 1, to $1.4 million from $908,000 a year ago, the retailer said.
By comparison, total Q3 net sales rose 25.7% to $83.2 million, up from $66.19 million a year ago. Q3 comp store sales, or sales at stores open at least a year, rose 1.3%.
As of the end of the third quarter Build-A-Bear Workshop operated 186 stores in the U.S. and Canada, in addition to its retail web site, BuildaBear.com.
