Sales at AllergyBuyersClub.com grow 18% in Q1


First quarter sales at AllergyBuyersClub.com, a multi-channel retailer of home products, increased 18% over Q1 a year ago, reaching $4.2 million from $3.6 million. The company also reports that conversions at its web site increased by 21% for first quarter 2007 versus 2006.

Sales growth was the result of better product photography, copy enhancements and better qualified traffic visiting the web site after receiving an AllergyBuyersClub.com catalog in the mail, says Mercia Tapping, CEO and president.

Tapping expects continued growth this year as the company completes installation of a new back-end system. "The technology changes that we are implementing will allow us to test page improvements much more easily and then modify the site on the fly based on the results,” she says.
