When shoppers click on the SECURE-eBill option at checkout, an e-mail invoice, the `eBill`, confirming their purchase arrives in their email instantly. Consumers then pay the invoice using their secure online banking account, just as they would pay their utility bills. The money is transferred, bank-to-bank, and the transaction is complete.
Unlike credit card and electronic check purchases, SECURE-eBill never requires the disclosure of consumers’ personal or financial information over the Internet, where it can fall into a hacker’s hands.
