CircuitCity.com posts sharpest gain in January among electronics sites
CircuitCity.com posted the sharpest gain in traffic to the top 10 multi-category computers and consumer electronics sites in January, with unique visits increasing 47% to 9.4 million from 6.4 million, Nielsen/NetRatings reports.
Sony experienced the second largest increase, with visits rising 32% to 3.7 million from 2.8 million; followed by eBay Electronics, up 30% to 10.4 million from 8 million; OSTG, up 27% to 4.2 million from 3.3 million; TigerDirect.com, up 25% to 3.5 million from 2.8 million; BestBuy.com, up 22% to 14.3 million from 11.7 million; CompUSA.com, up 22% to 3.74 million from 3.07 million; eBay Computers, up 20% to 6.5 million from 5.4 million; Sony Electronics, up 18% to 4.2 million from 3.6 million; and Radio Shack, up 14% to 2.4 million from 2.1 million.
BestBuy.com recorded the most traffic, followed by eBay Electronics, CircuitCity.com, eBay Computers, Sony Electronics, OSTG, CompUSA, Sony, Tiger Direct, and Radio Shack.
In the top 10 ranked by the average time per visit were CDW, 22 minutes, 37 seconds; eBay Electronics, 19 minutes, 38 seconds; eBay Computers, 15 minutes, 36 seconds; CompUSA.com, 14 minutes, 8 seconds; TigerDirect.com, 12 minutes, 57 seconds; OSTG, 12 minutes, 20 seconds; Simple Star, 11 minutes, 2 seconds; BestBuy.com, 11 minutes, 1 second; Canon, 11 minutes; and CircuitCity.com, 10 minutes, 32 seconds.
Also for January, Netflix Inc. led all retail goods and services advertisers in the number of online ad impressions, according to Nielsen/NetRating’s AdRelevance Report. The top advertisers and their number of online ad impressions (in millions):
