More than half of 1,000 MyPoints members plan to do holiday shopping online
More than half of 1,000 members polled say they plan to do more than 54% of their holiday shopping online, according to a new survey from MyPoints.com, a frequent-shopping web site.
MyPoints also found that online purchases will account for 50% or more of holiday spending in each of the top holiday shopping categories: books and magazine subscriptions (82%), music (82%), videos and DVDs (81%), toys and games (76%), apparel (68%), holiday/seasonal gifts (66%), home electronics (63%), health and beauty (55%), gift cards (50%), and gourmet food and beverage (50%).
The MyPoints survey also found that 29% of women and 34% of men polled considered finding the best prices as the single biggest benefit of shopping online, while 23% of women and 24% of men cited efficiency.
