Defender Industries expands web department and hires a new e-c manager
Boating equipment and accessories retailer Defender Industries has named Tina DuBosque as e-commerce manager and Jeff Healey as web content assistant. The hires reflect an expansion of Defender’s e-commerce department. Defender reports that e-commerce is its fastest growing sales channel.
"It`s no secret that the internet has changed—and continues to change—the way people live, work and certainly how they shop," said executive director Al Knupp. " These additions will help us continue our focus on improving and expanding our Internet offerings and creating the best web site possible. Our goal is to make Defender every boaters` first choice no matter what sales channel they prefer."
DuBosque hold’s a Master`s Degree in Internet Strategy Management from the Graduate Center at Marlboro College in Vermont.
Defender Industries is a 67-year-old family-owned marine outfitter tat sells via catalog, the Internet at Defender.com and through Defender Warehouse Outlet Store located at its headquarters in Waterford, CT.
