Boating equipment and accessories retailer Defender Industries has named Tina DuBosque as e-commerce manager and Jeff Healey as web content assistant. The hires reflect an expansion of Defender’s e-commerce department. Defender reports that e-commerce is its fastest growing sales channel.
"It's no secret that the internet has changed—and continues to change—the way people live, work and certainly how they shop," said executive director Al Knupp. " These additions will help us continue our focus on improving and expanding our Internet offerings and creating the best web site possible. Our goal is to make Defender every boaters' first choice no matter what sales channel they prefer."
DuBosque hold’s a Master's Degree in Internet Strategy Management from the Graduate Center at Marlboro College in Vermont.
Defender Industries is a 67-year-old family-owned marine outfitter tat sells via catalog, the Internet at Defender.com and through Defender Warehouse Outlet Store located at its headquarters in Waterford, CT.
