AutoZone tech exec is named chairman of the Technology Leaders Council
Ken Brame, chief information officer of AutoZone, has been named chairman of the Technology Leaders Council, part of The Retail Industry Leaders Association. Ken Kaiser, vice president, corporate systems development, Target Corp., was elected vice chairman.
The Technology Leaders Council is made up of senior-level information officers from leading retail companies and product manufacturers. Members represent more than $10 billion in annual technology spending.
"The technology leaders council is a unique opportunity for executives of equal footing to get together and discuss similar challenges and opportunities," said Brame. "It gives us a common voice on regulatory issues that impact each of us."
Brame is responsible for all systems, technology and data communications for AutoZone`s eight distribution centers and more than 3,600 stores. Kaiser oversees Target’s customer relationship management initiatives and multi-channel integration efforts.
