PriceGrabber’s Storefronts retailers on the brink of 1 million transactions

Small retailers selling through PriceGrabber.com’s Storefronts program will reach the 1 million-order mark in May, PriceGrabber, an Experian company, reports. Storefronts began in 2003 as a way for small retailers and individuals to tap into the 24 million consumers shopping at PriceGrabber, a comparison shopping site, each month.

Storefronts retailers’ customers place their orders through PriceGrabber, which processes the transaction, eliminating the need for the seller to set up its own transaction-enabled web site. Storefronts sellers pay a commission of $1 plus 5.75% of the purchase price on each product they sell. There are no setup or listing fees.

"The success of our exclusive PriceGrabber.com Storefronts service is built on enabling individuals and small businesses with or without an existing web site to easily and economically reach millions of savvy shoppers," says Ron LaPierre, president of PriceGrabber.com. "As we approach the million-sale mark, we are preparing to further streamline the Storefronts setup process and add checkout options designed to help our Storefronts sellers sell even more."

PriceGrabber.com plans to award the seller who makes the millionth sale with three months of free transaction fees, worth up to $5,000, the company says. New sellers who sign up before the millionth transaction are eligible to win.
