Boonty expands U.S. staff with two senior level hires


Boonty Inc., a worldwide distributor of digital games, has named Kevin Malone as executive vice president of business development and Gabe Zichermann as chief marketing and strategy officer.

Malone will oversee partner development initiatives for Boonty in the Americas. He joins Boonty from digital music distributor Liquid Audio where he was vice president sales and distribution. Prior to Liquid Audio, Malone managed international business development for Silicon Graphics and held sales roles with Control Data and IBM.

Zichermann will be in charge of Boonty`s American marketing and strategic development. He was most recently vice president of strategy/communications for Trymedia Systems and prior to that, head of Marketing for the Game Developers Conference, Gamasutra and Game Developer magazine.

Based in Paris, Boonty provides digital games for ISPs, portals, hardware manufacturers and Internet communities. Its services include mobile, downloadable, web-based and multiplayer games.
