LivePerson reports Q3 revenues of $5.7 million
LivePerson Inc., a provider of live chat services for retailers and others, reported third quarter revenues of $5.7 million, up 29.5% from $4.4 million in the year-earlier period.
The increase was due primarily to new deployments of LivePerson’s Timpani Sales and Marketing live-chat platform and strong sales of LivePerson Pro to small businesses, the company said.
Net income for the quarter totaled $700,000, up 86.2% from $376,000 in 2004’s third quarter. The company’s third quarter ended Sept. 30.
“We are very pleased with the results for the quarter,” said Robert LoCascio, CEO. “Our sequential growth trends are continuing, and we have a strong roster of both recently signed contracts and pipeline deals, as well as recent expansion within several larger clients.”
For the nine months ended Sept. 30, LivePerson reported revenues of $16 million, up 25% from $12.8 million a year earlier. Net income for the nine months dropped 22.2% to $1.4 million from $1.8 million for the same period in 2004.
LivePerson expects revenue of about $22 million for the year.
