Q3 online merchandise sales at The Knot drop 10% year-over-year


Online merchandise sales at The Knot Inc.’s TheKnot.com, a wedding products and services site, fell 12% year-over-year for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, to $3.34 million from $3.72 million, as total revenue rose 22.9% to $13.12 million from $10.67 million, the company said.

In addition to online merchandise sales, total Q3 revenues included $6.69 million in online sponsorships and ads, up 49% from $4.49 million a year ago, and $3.09 million in publishing and other revenue, up 24.9% from $2.48 million.

For the nine months ended Sept. 30, online merchandise sales fell 1.5% to $10.79 million, as total revenue rose 19.8% to $38.62 million, online sponsorships and ads rose 46.8% to $18.52 million and publishing rose 19.8% to $9.31 million.
