WebSideStory names a new president

Marketing and analytics company WebSideStory Inc.has named Jeffrey W. Lunsford president and CEO. Most recently, Lunsford was president and CEO of software developer TogetherSoft Corp., which was acquired by Borland Software Corp. in January. Lunsford succeeds John J. Hentrich, who had been president since December 1999.

"With more than 400 enterprise-class customers, counting among them 1,500 name-brand sites, and with 3,000 small business customers, WebSideStory is operating from a tremendous position of strength," Lunsford said. "My mission will be to ensure that we build on our market dominance by listening to our customers and continuing our tradition of excellence in innovation, scale and execution."

WebSideStory’s HitBox product provides services for businesses to optimize their online marketing and merchandising by providing real-time analysis of online visitor and customer behavior. Retailer and consumer products customers include Best Buy, Brooks Brothers, Casual Corner, Chico's, Liz Claiborne, Phillips-Van Heusen, Skechers, Taylor Made-Adidas Golf. It has provided browser-based web analytics since 1996.
