Communicate.com’s Q3 revenue increases 24.8%

Communicate.com, which operates a family of retail web sites, reports record Q3 revenues of $1.02 million, up 24.8% from $817,156 a year earlier. Net income dropped 15% to $116,609 for the quarter from $137,257 for the same period last year. It was the eleventh consecutive quarter of positive net income.

Communicate.com’s revenue included $760,954 in product sales, up 70.9% from $445,271 a year earlier, and $256,705 in advertising revenues, up 49.3% from $171,885 a year earlier.

For the nine months, ended Sept. 30, revenues increased 48.8% to $3.05 million from $2.05 million from the same period in 2004. Net income rose 20.6% to a record $365,751 from $303,352 a year earlier. Product sales for the nine months totaled $2.2 million, compared with $1.05 million in 2004, and advertising revenues totaled $844,185, compared with $397,889 in the same period last year.

Communicate.com owns, develops and markets approximately 900 web sites, including Perfume.com, Importers.com, Karate.com, Body.com and Boxing.com. Revenues come from the sale of consumer goods, advertising, and travel products at its network of b2c and b2b sites.
