Shop.com adds eToys to its roster of online merchants

Shop.com is expanding its toys category to more than 50,000 products with the addition of eToys to its line-up of online merchants.

“EToys is a particularly timely addition to our online marketplace because they fill out an entire category at a time when consumer demand for their products is at its peak,” says Shop.com president Bruce Sellers. “Their selection of products and brands will allow us to maximize the amount of demand we can capture for their category of products."

Shop.com, an online comparison shopping site that allows consumers to buy products at Shop.com without going to the retailer’s site, has signed up more than 1,000 merchants.

The relationship with eToys will help Shop.com, No. 119 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Guide to Retail Web Sites, build a more diversified toys category, he says.

As an online retailer, eToys offers more than 10,000 children's products, including hard-to-find specialty toys. At eToys visitors can shop by age, category, character and brand.
