BitPass appoints former DoubleClick GM as CEO
BitPass Inc., a provider of e-commerce platforms for buying and selling digital content online, has named Douglas Knopper, formerly senior vice president and general manager at DoubleClick Inc., as CEO.
Knopper has more than 20 years of experience in the marketing of media and technology. Prior to DoubleClick, he was responsible for overseeing advertising campaigns for brands and products at agencies Lowe & Partners, TBWA/Chiat Day and J. Walter Thompson.
In addition to a proven track record in managing complex organizations, Doug brings experience in the business of digital content and long-standing relationships with its stakeholders, says Pete Goettner, general partner, Worldview Technology Partners, a member of the BitPass board. Adds Knopper, "As content providers become more sophisticated, they need solutions that complement their advertising activity while building customer loyalty and monetizing their online offerings.
