Coremetrics appoints Steve Cox as vice president of operations

Coremetrics, a provider of hosted web analytics and marketing applications, has named Steve Cox, a 25-year veteran of technology systems, to vice president of operations.

Cox, who reports to COO and CFO Mark Resnick, will be responsible for Coremetrics’ ongoing development and maintenance of an e-commerce platform capable of supporting customers and partners worldwide, the company said. “Steve’s diversified experience in various IT functions, specifically working with large-scale Internet-based RDBMS applications, is exactly what Coremetrics needs to provide and maintain highly reliable solutions,” Resnick said.

Cox joins Coremetrics from Dresser Inc., where he implemented and managed Oracle e-business enterprise applications among other duties as corporate director of global business systems for the provider of energy infrastructure equipment. Prior to Dresser, Cox served as vice president of information systems and technology and CIO for VTEL Corp., a provider of video conferencing systems, and held senior positions at NEC American Inc.
