eB2B Commerce adds the Athlete`s Foot to its trading network

eB2B Commerce Inc., provider of business-to-business transaction management services, today announced that The Athlete`s Foot, the seventh largest athletic footwear retailer in the world, has selected eB2B Commerce to provide direct connection to its non-EDI trading partners. The Athlete`s Foot, with over 700 corporate and franchise stores in more than 40 countries, joins other large retailers such as Dunham`s Sports, Galyan`s Trading Company, Toys R Us Inc., Best Buy Co. Inc. and Linens N Things Inc. in using eB2B Commerce`s trading network.

The Athlete`s Foot will be able to send electronic orders from its EDI-capable point-of-sale system to all its manufacturers. Similarly, the manufacturers will be able to return notifications and invoices electronically, via their web browser. "eB2B Commerce`s solution will allow us to dramatically reduce the costs of trading with our suppliers by eliminating the manual processing costs we currently incur with our mid and small size suppliers," said Robert J. Corliss, president and CEO of The Athlete`s Foot Group Inc. "We have worked diligently to provide our end-user customers with a seamless shopping experience, eB2B Commerce now gives us a seamless purchasing experience."
