Gaiam hires new president to oversee direct marketing

Gaiam Inc., online retailer and direct marketer of healthy lifestyle and personal improvement products, has hired Bill Sondheim as president of its distribution and direct response marketing businesses.

Sondheim previously was executive vice president at Sony BMG Music Entertainment and president of PolyGram Video.

The company offers about 7,000 SKUs on its e-commerce site.
