Shoebuy.com steps up strong sales through April
Strong spring sales at Shoebuy.com are continuing into April, president and CEO Scott Savitz tells InternetRetailer.com. March sales rose 10% over February and more than doubled sales in March of last year, he says. "March was a very good month, and April is shaping up to be even better," he says
Savitz, who co-founded Shoebuy three years ago, says sales growth has been consistently strong. With 1.5 million monthly visitors, including 1 million unique visitors, it`s on course to hit $16 million in sales this year, up from $10 million last year and $3.5 million in 2001. The e-retailer says it has been profitable for several quarters.
"We attribute our growth to continually improving the user experience and retention, adding more products and brands, and building traffic," Savitz says. With 150,000 products from more than 200 brands, Shoebuy also boosts sales with free standard shipping and the ability to search by eight criteria, including brand, color and width, he says.
