Digitally Unique names a new CFO and board members
Online electronics retailer Digitally Unique Corp. has hired a new chief financial officer and appointed new members to its board of directors.
The company has hired Steve Thomas as its CFO, secretary and treasurer. Thomas is a former certified public accountant who spent seven years with Arthur Andersen LLP. Prior to joining Digitally Unique, Thomas was controller of American Coin Merchandising, where he was responsible for accounting, budgeting, planning, analysis, internal reporting, SEC compliance and cash management. His previous positions include accounting and managerial positions with Experimental and Applied Sciences, Exodus Communications, AT&T Broadband and Colorado MEDtech.
Digitally Unique has also named several new board members. Douglas Mitchell has been appointed the director and chairman of the audit committee. He was most recently president, CEO and director of semiconductor company Simtek Corp. Joining Mitchell on the board is Stan Vinson, director and chairman of the compensation committee. He recently retired as vice president and treasurer for CH2M HILL Ltd.
Other new board members include: John Hobson, director, online media manager for Target Corp.; and Allan Harkness, founder, president and managing partner of Highland Financial Advisors.
“Given our positive outlook for continued growth and expansion, we have added a seasoned finance executive and four new board members to help develop and support high-level growth strategies,” says president and CEO Mark Yeaman.
