Perfume.com is off to a rosy start with Q1 2007 sales of $1.41 million
First quarter sales at Perfume.com were $1.41 million, an increase of 22.5% compared to Q1 of 2006. The web-only fragrance retailer contributed 87% of parent Communicate.com Inc.’s web sales for the quarter.
Communicate.com reported record Q1 web sales of $1.62 million, an increase of 25% compared to $1.3 million for the same period of 2006. Perfume.com, which is No. 469 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, comprised 83% of overall sales.
Communicate.com logged a net loss for the quarter ended March 31, of $28,772 compared to a net loss $39,117 for the same period of 2006.
The company announced plans for a TV advertising campaign later this year to build brand awareness for Perfume.com and attract new customers.
Communicate.com also operates Importers.com, a b2b trade portal.
