SourceGO Connects Buyers with Suppliers, Factories in China, Worldwide
MIAMI, Feb. 23 -- New Generation Computing Inc. (NGC), a wholly owned subsidiary of American Software Inc. (NASDAQ:AMSWA) , today announced that SourceGO, a sourcing firm for buyers in the fabric, apparel and home furnishings markets, has selected NGC`s e-SPS to power an on- line procurement service.
Sourcing experts with Source Global On-Demand (SourceGO), a U.S. company with offices in Shanghai, Washington, D.C., and Miami, Fla., provide comprehensive support to buyers who use the on-line procurement service, which is accessible at http://www.sourcego.com/ . The service, using NGC`s e-SPS global sourcing software, makes it easier for buyers to view Request for Proposal and Purchase Order status securely over the Web. e-SPS also helps enable SourceGO personnel, the producer and the buyer to share visibility and event-management activities throughout the procurement process. In addition to this new technology, SourceGO has an extensive group of qualified suppliers and sourcing experts in China and worldwide.
"SourceGO`s selection of e-SPS continues to expand the application of this popular tool in the global sourcing environment," said Alan Brooks, president of NGC.
NGC`s e-SPS currently provides some of the United States` largest sewn products manufacturers, brand managers, retailers and importers with end-to- end visibility of their global supply chains and enables them to complete steps in the production process over the Internet in real-time. The product consists of 10 software modules: e-RFQ`s & Bids, e-Pre Production, e-Production Tracking, e-Collaboration, e-Pack, e-Shipment Tracking, e-Exceptions, e-Quality, e-Executive Information Systems and Reporting, and Event Tracking and Management System.
"Now more than ever, companies that can quickly manage and monitor sourcing opportunities in China will gain significant competitive advantages," said Tom Eggleston, chairman and CEO of CNTextile LLC (dba SourceGO). "Leading apparel companies and major retailers have made NGC`s e-SPS the industry standard for sourcing. The product provides the ease-of-use and flexibility that meet the needs of even the largest buyers."
