Drugstore.com names Wawa exec There du Pont as CFO

Drugstore.com Inc. has named There du Pont as senior vice president, operations and chief financial officer.

Previously, du Pont served in several key positions, including president and chief financial officer of Wawa Inc. The retailer operates more than 550 fresh food and fuel convenience stores in five Mid-Atlantic States. During his 13 years with the company, he led numerous financial and operational initiatives as the company grew from $800 million to more than $5 billion in annual revenue.

He received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering and a masters in business administration from Stanford University. Drugstore.com is No. 35 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.
