New site search increases conversions at Delightful Deliveries

Since implementing site search and merchandising software from Mercado Software this spring, DelightfulDeliveries.com reports that conversion rates have increased by 45% while revenue per visit is up 20%.

The online retailer of gift baskets is using Mercado’s merchandising console to create custom landing pages that are geared to its paid search and e-mail marketing programs. By using these custom landing pages as a merchandising tool, Delightful Deliveries is increasing both revenue and units per order, lifting the ROI from its online marketing efforts, according to Mercado.

In addition to the increase in conversion rate and revenue per visit, Delightful Deliveries also has experienced a 50% increase in orders per visit and a 100% increase in units bought per visit this year over the same time period lasts year, prior to implementing the new site search and merchandising tools.
