Triversity rolls outs a web-based store returns package
Triversity Inc., developer of software for the retail industry, is rolling out a web-based system to process in-store returns of purchases. Called ExpressReturns, the system integrates with point-of-sale systems. Triversity says ExpressReturns complements its web-based FraudWatch product, which analyzes store data to identify theft patterns.
ExpressReturns keeps information in a centralized repository that may be accessed by any store via a web browser. Triversity says ExpressReturns works with virtually any POS solution and supports IBM’s WebSphere software.
With ExpressReturns, customers can buy in one store and return in another, and returns may be made with or without receipts. The systems can track refunds by store, cashier, credit card number and tender type. The browser interface allows store clerks to quick drill-down into sales data without accessing separate reporting systems. The system also makes a recommendation to approve or deny a refund.
“ExpressReturns can have an immediate impact on controlling shrinkage by helping retailers prevent fraudulent merchandise returns while providing a new level of service to their customers,” says David Thomas, president and CEO of Triversity.
Triversity’s retail products are installed in over 500 retailers in 32 countries.
