Golf Galaxy tees up more auctions
Golf Galaxy Inc., a multi-channel retailer of golfing gear, is expanding its online auction capacity.
The Eden Prairie, MN-based retailer, which operates 49 stores and GolfGalaxy.com, has signed an auction operating agreement with Golf Club Exchange, an online auctions company and a subsidiary of ExchangeBlvd.com Inc.
Under the agreement, Golf Club Exchange will help Golf Galaxy expand and operate its auctions program, which now includes GolfClubExchange.com, GolfGalaxyAuctions.com and listing and selling used golf equipment on eBay.
Golf Galaxy now offers more than 2,000 pre-owned golf clubs on the various auctions.
"We are pleased to add online auctions as another sales channel for pre-owned clubs, which has been a rapidly growing category in our stores,” says Golf Galaxy CEO Randy Zanatta. ”This new online channel enhances our relationship with existing customers and is a great way to reach prospective customers.”
Golf Galaxy Auctions allows buyers to search by club type. Buyers who are dissatisfied for any reason can negotiate a discount or return the clubs for a full refund of the final accepted bid price, Golf Galaxy says
