Manugistics Appoints Ronald Kubera to Lead Consumer Goods Organization

ROCKVILLE, Md.--March 2, 2005--Manugistics Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:MANU), a leading global provider of synchronized supply chain management solutions, today named Ronald Kubera as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Consumer Goods (CG), a newly-formed specialized business unit (SBU). The company also announced the formation of three other SBUs - Retail, Government and Revenue Management.

As SVP of Consumer Goods, Kubera will spearhead Manugistics` global efforts to deliver better value, better solutions and better focus to CG clients. The company has mobilized CG knowledge-experts in sales, pre-sales, industry marketing and client services and dedicated those resources to this newly-created SBU. Kubera will report directly to Manugistics CEO Joe Cowan.

"Manugistics intends to maximize our leadership position in the CG industry, and today`s announcement is just the beginning," said Cowan. "I selected Ron to lead this group because of his deep expertise across both the Consumer Goods and Retail industries. Together with the dedicated expertise of the CG organization, Manugistics will continue to drive the innovative and synchronized supply chain solutions critical to the success of our industry-leading CG clients."

Kubera brings more than 20 years experience in global services and support. Recently, Kubera was SVP of Global Services and Support where he was responsible for all client service and support activities for Manugistics` products and solutions. Prior to that, Kubera spent two years as SVP for Northern Europe leading sales and client management in the United Kingdom and Nordic regions, and seven years in various consulting roles where he was responsible for building the company`s strong record of solutions delivery. Before Manugistics, he directed production and distribution planning for the Arm & Hammer Division of Church & Dwight Co., Inc.

"With a commitment to revolutionize the synchronized supply chain, Manugistics` new organizational structure will realign and refocus the company`s services and solutions to address the competitive, consumer and regulatory pressures that require businesses to stay one step ahead of demand," said Cowan. "Our efforts are designed not only to focus on our core markets, but also to enable us to deliver extensible solutions for those industries facing similar supply chain challenges. Industries that face these challenges include not only the many Retail, Consumer Goods and Government clients we serve, but in many cases these demand-driven supply chain hurdles also confront Pharmaceutical and Consumer Electronics companies, all of whom are trying to get their products to the consumer faster and more efficiently."
