HARTE-HANKS TAPS CHRISTINE M. COURNOYER TO LEAD COMPANY`S MASSACHUSETTS DATABASE TEAM AS MANAGING DIRECTOR
BILLERICA, MA – March 14, 2005 – Harte-Hanks, Inc. (NYSE:HHS), a worldwide, direct and targeted marketing company, has announced that it has appointed Christine M. Cournoyer as its new managing director, direct marketing, where she will lead the company`s database solutions team here.
The Billerica, MA, facility of Harte-Hanks offers core expertise in database design, construction, implementation and hosting for the company`s diverse client base in retail, financial, high-tech, automotive and other consumer and business-to-business marketing industry segments. It is a primary location supporting the Allink® Solution Suite of customer-focused database marketing solutions of Harte-Hanks.

"As our database business builds in complexity, we strive to make it ever easier for our clients, and Chris`s previous work in client-focused activity with leading technology companies will help keep our database delivery best in class."
Previously, Cournoyer served as president and chief operating officer of Lightbridge, Inc., a leading provider of hosted and application service provider services for credit and identity risk mitigation in the wireless industry, processing more than 35 percent of all credit applications for mobile phone service in North America.
"I`ve known of Harte-Hanks for many years, particularly because of its reputation and leadership in the database marketing space," Cournoyer said. Cournoyer also served at IBM in its Software Group. She was vice president of business transformation for the software group, responsible for information technology, customer and partner operations including ordering, billing, collections and contract administration from IBM`s $8-billion Software Group business. She led a global team responsible for the e-business transformation, including the IBM Software Web site, customer relationship management systems strategy, and global SAP implementations.
She also served as a CIO at Lotus Development Corporation; Bolt, Beranek & Newman, a telecommunications company; Wang Laboratories; and the Massachusetts Department of Labor, where she served as an economist.
Currently, Cournoyer is a member of the Board of Directors for Stride Rite Corporation. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of GTECH, a global high-tech company that handles transaction processing.
