Q Interactive names a new president and CEO

Matt Moog, since 2001 the president and CEO of CoolSavings.com, the coupon site that grew into online marketing services company Q Interactive, has resigned from the company to pursue his interest in starting his own company, Q Interactive announced. Replacing him as CEO is Q Interactive’s chief of sales and marketing officer, Matt Wise. In connection with his earlier title of president, Moog had been at the helm of the company for nearly 10 years.

“Q Interactive has been fortunate to benefit from Matt Moog’s leadership over these many years and is equally as fortunate to have an executive of Matt Wise’s caliber at the ready to steer its future,” says Guy Friddell, III, executive vice president of Q Interactive’s parent company, Landmark Communications Inc.

Wise, who joined the company in 2004, has been one of the key architects of the company’s recent growth. In the past two years, Q interactive has grown to more than $65 million in annual sales and expanded its lead generation and targeted email services businesses.

Prior to joining Q Interactive, Wise was senior vice president of account services for Draft Worldwide, the country’s largest direct marketing and promotions agency. He also held senior management positions with entertainment and direct marketing company LuckySurf; IBM software spinout Delphion; and Classified Ventures, the e-commerce company that operates Apartments.com, Cars.com and Homescape; as well as co-branded solutions for 140 newspapers.
