e-Dialog names two publishing and marketing industry veterans as directors
Online marketing services provider e-Dialog has named two publishing and marketing industry veterans to its Board of Directors. Peter A. Derow, formerly president and CEO of Institutional Investor Inc. and chairman and president of Newsweek; and Raymond T. Butkus, who has served as president of the Donnelley Group and president and COO of Naviant Marketing Solutions Inc., will provide leadership experience on which the company will draw as it pursues global expansion, according to John Rizzi, e-Dialog president and CEO.
“In addition to unparalleled experience in all aspects of business development and operations, Ray Butkus adds deep e-marketing experience, particularly in database and e-mail marketing solutions. Peter Derow brings unrivalled experience and understanding of the publishing industry, which is direct marketing in its truest form and one of e-Dialog’s primary markets,” says Rizzi.
Derow has built and managed a number of leading media companies. In addition to his tenure at Institutional Investor and at Newsweek, he was a director of The Washington Post Co., president of CBS Publishing Group and SVP and director of CBS Inc. Currently he is a director of CACI International Inc., GlobalSpec. Inc., 101 Communications LLC, Money Media, The Motley Fool and Publishers Clearing House.
With extensive career experience in sales and marketing, in both consumer and business markets, Butkus has also served as VP and general manager of IntelliQuest Information Group, president and COO of GEN Logistics Systems Inc., and has held senior sales and management positions with AT & T Corp.
