Glen Senk promoted to CEO of Urban Outfitters
Glen T. Senk has been promoted to the newly created position of chief executive officer at specialty retailer Urban Outfitters Inc. Richard Hayne remains as chairman and president of the company, which is No. 157 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.
Urban Outfitters operates retail stores, web sites and catalogs under the Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie brands and has a wholesale unit called Free People.
"Glen is a gifted merchant and has earned the right to lead our three brands. I am confident that under his leadership our company will continue to grow and prosper," Hayne said in a statement. Senk has been with Urban Outfitters since 1994.
