Federated Selects Inovis for Trading Partner Connectivity and Data Synchronization
Leading Retailer Will Migrate to Inovis` Value-Added Network
ATLANTA, GA - March 21, 2005 — Inovis, a leading provider of business-to-business solutions and services, announced today that Federated Department Stores, Inc., one of the nation`s leading department store retailers, has selected Inovis as its preferred Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) provider and will migrate to Inovis` next generation value-added network (VAN). In addition, Federated will continue to align product data for synchronization using Inovis Catalogue™.
For almost 10 years, Federated used QRS Corporation for VAN services to manage the flow of critical e-commerce information with its trading community of more than 4,000 vendors. Now, Federated will migrate to Inovis` next generation VAN, which provides a powerful engine for end-to-end control and visibility of business-to-business (B2B) transactions and trading partner relationships. In addition, the new Inovis VAN offers an innovative customer portal called inovisworks.net that serves as the single interface for all Inovis interactions and offers around-the-clock customer support.
Federated will continue to align and synchronize product data across its trading community using Inovis Catalogue, which is the retail industry`s leading centralized repository of product information and contains over 100 million unique items.
