Free shipping helps maintain steady growth at ShoeBuy.com


Selling shoes through any channel isn`t easy, but competition and the challenge of fitting customers makes it particularly tough to do online. Yet ShoeBuy.com reports continuing steady growth, due in large part to its offer of free ground shipping for all orders regardless of size, president and CEO Scott Savitz tells InternetRetailer.com.

"We continue to offer free ground shipping on all orders as a benefit to our customers," Savitz says.

Savitz, who co-founded ShoeBuy three years ago, says recent monthly sales have been rising 10% sequentially and 100% over a year ago. With about 1.5 million monthly visitors, the site has been profitable for several quarters and expects to hit $16 million in sales this year, up from $10 million last year and $3.5 million in 2001.
