eBay leads in unique visitors to online shopping sites


EBay led in the number of unique visitors to online shopping sites for the week ended Sept. 26 with 15.99 million, more than double the 6.62 million visitors to Amazon, Nielsen/NetRatings reports. Yahoo Shopping placed third with 3 million.

Expedia ranked fourth with 2.74 million visitors, followed by Dell, 2.44 million; Shopping.com Network, 2.18 million; Wal-Mart, 1.92 million; Orbitz.com, 1.898 million; Target, 1.875 million; and Travelocity, 1.79 million.

For the same week, General Mills Inc. garnered the most online ad impressions among consumer goods advertisers with 112.7 million, according to Nielsen’s AdRelevance report. The top ten consumer goods advertisers cited by AdRelevance and their number of impressions in millions:
