Online ticket seller appoints new president and CEO
TicketsNow has named Cheryl Rosner president and CEO. She will be responsible for overall management and direction of the company. Mike Domek, who founded TicketsNow in 1992 and previously served as CEO, will remain as chairman.
“Cheryl has a proven track record as an accomplished corporate leader, successfully growing two of the top online travel businesses in the country,” Domek says.
Rosner will work closely with Domek and other members of the online secondary market ticket seller’s executive team to develop strategies to produce new offerings for consumers and foster future business growth, the company says.
Rosner was instrumental in leading both Expedia Corporate Travel and Hotels.com to unprecedented success, TicketsNow says. While serving as president of Expedia Corporate Travel from 2005 to 2006, Rosner directed the group to profitability and helped launch two new international divisions, in Canada and Germany.
Prior to Expedia, Rosner worked at Hotels.com from 1999 to 2005 in a number of executive capacities including business development, supplier relations, marketing and sales prior to becoming president of the company in 2003. Rosner’s key accomplishments at Hotels.com, TicketsNow adds, include the successful launch of the company’s consumer web site in 2002.
