TradeStone Software Announces General Availability of the TradeStone Suite
Powered by Unified Buying Engine, TradeStone Suite Supports One View and Business Process for International and Domestic Sourcing
Gloucester, Mass., April 4, 2005 TradeStone Software, the leader in enabling domestic and international sourcing through a Unified Buying Process, today announced general availability of its TradeStone Suite. The TradeStone Suite is comprised of five modular applications: Product, Sourcing, Logistics, Finance and Unified Order Management and is powered by TradeStone’s Unified Buying Engine, an underlying technology platform which was also announced today. The TradeStone Suite is further complemented by a set of TradeStone Tools, which enhance an organization’s ability to tailor the Suite to best meet their business needs.
“We developed the TradeStone Suite based on our deep belief in a Unified Buying Process, a philosophy which dictates that domestic and international buying should be unified across an organization to speed innovation and boost profitability and market share,” said Sue Welch, CEO of TradeStone Software. “Our solutions are designed to make sourcing product easily accomplished whether an organization is buying from a vendor across the world or across the street.”
Powered to Deliver Strong, Unified Results
The TradeStone Suite is powered by the company’s Unified Buying Engine, a technology platform and process engine that enables a unified way for retailers and merchants to view and interact with the buying process. Its embedded workflow processes foster collaboration among far flung buyers and suppliers throughout the collaborative commerce community.
TradeStone Suite
The TradeStone Suite is comprised of a robust set of modular applications that can be purchased and used together or in a stand-alone manner to fill global sourcing gaps. The modular applications are:
• TradeStone Product – Designed for all product planning, design, costing and allocation needs, TradeStone Product enables planning refinement and tracks assortments, line lists, flows to stores, product traits, bill of material, images and specifications.
• TradeStone Sourcing – Designed to read information from TradeStone tables and other Product-focused systems in the organization to create RFQs, TradeStone Sourcing enables users to normalize information received in vendor offers, auto-calculate landed costs and create planning calendars. It invites vendors to interact and collaborate on the design and delivery of products while monitoring vendor performance relative to established tolerance and product expectation.
• TradeStone Unified Order Management – Designed to track finished goods, raw materials, blanket orders and aggregations by customer, channel or store type, this module enables quality assurance, vendor and channel management and planning. It also supports the creation of smaller, more frequent orders giving retailers the ability to respond to sales data and changing market conditions.
• TradeStone Logistics – Designed to track and manage containerization opportunity, shipment building, trace and track offers, as well as Government-related processes including customs and duties.
• TradeStone Finance – Designed to focus on invoicing, costing, banking and other financial processes, TradeStone Finance seamlessly integrates with banks for letters of credit, POs and open accounts; enables vendor self-invoicing; audits against tolerances and waiver collaboration and enables landed cost reconciliation.
TradeStone Tools
TradeStone Tools work in conjunction with the TradeStone Suite to give users the ability to precisely reflect the business processes, rules, logic, exceptions and unique nuances in the fully implemented solution. Tools include the TradeStone StepBuilder, TradeStone CompositeBuilder and TradeStone QueryBuilder.
Technology
The TradeStone Suite is a robust, scalable, multi-tiered, server-based enterprise application built on the J2EE platform. The Suite uses Web services data-anywhere technology to span multiple systems, leveraging an organization’s current IT investment while eliminating the need for redundant databases, replication and continual reimplementation and retraining of employees and trading partners.
Pricing & Availability
TradeStone Suite modules are sold independently along with the Unified Buying Engine. They can be configured alone or as part of a broader solution. The optional Tools are sold separately.
The modularity of the TradeStone functionality supports a gradual and phased approach, allowing for a rapid deployment in usually 90-120 days which results in enhanced functionality, while also filling in the gaps that may exist in other legacy or off-the-shelf applications.
