Online retail spending grew 13% for the week that ended June 1 from the corresponding week a year ago, comScore Networks Inc. reports. Spending reached $822 million for the week from $729 million a year ago.
Total retail spending for the week ending May 31 grew 5.6% vs. the same week a year ago, ShopperTrak’s National Retail Sales Estimate reports.
For May, online retail sales were up 15% to $4.3 billion from $3.74 billion in May 2002, according to comScore numbers. Total sales in May were up 3.2% vs. May 2002, ShopperTrak reports.
Online travel sales were up 40% for the week ending June 1 to $794 million from $568 million a year ago, comScore reports.
