Wine.com enters the Japanese market with a local partnership

Wine.com has launched a web site in Japan, through a partnership with SanSonoma Ltd., a Tokyo-based wine distributor. Wine.com’s products will be available at Japan.wine.com.

"This launch marks a significant milestone for Wine.com as we become one of the few online wine providers to enter the international market," says George Garrick, president and CEO of Wine.com.

Wine.com and SanSonoma will offer pricing in local currency, overnight shipping, Japanese language-based Wine.com, local customer service support and wine selections specifically chosen for the Japanese market.

SanSonoma has direct buying relationships with more than 50 wineries in Napa, Sonoma, Santa Cruz and other California areas. Wine.com markets in 27 states in the U.S.
