FurnitureFind.com gets a new president

Furniture retailer FurnitureFind.com has named Kenneth Kwit as president. Kwit has served as CEO of three high-growth, consumer product companies over the past 25 years in the furniture, wine, direct marketing and specialty retailing industries. He led a venture-capital backed acquisition and development of Expressions Inc., a $100 million-plus manufacturer and retailer of upscale, custom furniture and home accessories. Kwit also developed Sonoma Vineyards’ Windsor Vineyards brand into the nation’s largest direct marketing wine business.

Over the past nine months, FurnitureFind.com’s management changes have included Mary Hunt as CFO, Jeff Roberson as CIO, Daryl Kleiman as vice president of merchandising and Jim Cook as call center manager. Lawrence Garatoni, will continue as FurnitureFind.com’s CEO.

The company also announced that on Oct. 25 it will relocate its headquarters to South Bend, IN, from Buchanan, MI.

FurnitureFind.com employs 60 people and says it expects to expand its sales force this year. It offers 7,000 products at its web site. It is backed by private investors, including venture capital firm HQ Venture Capital.
