Office Depot’s Q3 online sales grow 15% while total sales are up 3%
Global e-commerce sales at Office Depot Inc. in the third quarter increased 15% over Q3 last year to $771 million, the company reports. Office Depot says it is on track to reach more than $3 billion in global e-commerce sales this year.
Total company sales for the third quarter of 2004 were $3.3 billion, a 3% increase compared to the third quarter of 2003. Sales were up 11% in the first nine months. Worldwide comparable store sales in the 931 stores and 80 delivery centers that have been open for more than a year were flat for the third quarter of 2004 and up 1% for the first nine months.
E-commerce accounted for 23.4% of all sales compared to 21% a year ago.
