Best Buy launches a web-and-store service for digital photos
In a multi-pronged approach to serving the market for digital photos and cameras, Best Buy Co. Inc. launched a web site this week that lets customers load and edit digital photos and order prints for home delivery or store pick-up.
The Best Buy imageLab site, ImageLab.BestBuy.com, also lets customers develop online photo albums for sharing photos with friends, create greeting cards and calendars with inserted photos, download technical information and get assistance from customer service reps. Best Buy is also offering similar services at imageLab departments in its stores.
The online imageLab requires customers to register with their postal and e-mail addresses. It also provides direct links to BestBuy.com’s sections for purchasing digital cameras and other products.
