RealRead Starting New Service for Magazines and Mail Order Catalogs

NEW YORK, Aug. 14 -- RealRead, the leader in online book sampling, announced today that they have initiated a new service for magazines and mail order catalogs. "This service was launched mainly due to inquires we have received from magazine publishers and mail order houses in Japan, where special customizations are required," said Yoshi Kitamura, CEO/Founder of RealRead Inc. Unlike today`s online magazines, RealRead online magazine samples would look exactly like the print versions in that people can flip through them instead of endlessly scrolling. Home-making, travel & entertainment, or wedding-related magazines would be perfect candidates for the RealRead service, and can have direct links to advertisers` sites such as hotel/resort, rental sites, and other product purchase sites right off the turning pages (now available as a part of customization options). The RealRead online mail-order catalogs would look exactly like the print versions, and can be e-mailed directly to customers saving many of the costs of printing, postage, paper and labor. The layout can be customized so that window frame, buttons, etc. can be arranged for various customers` needs. As in the existing book service, RealRead magazines and catalogs would not require special plug-ins or a large download file since they use a regular web-browser and documents are displayed one page at a time.

With service simplicity and copyright protection features such as not allowing copying or saving, RealRead has made major inroads into the book publishing industry in the past 2 years with over 50 customers including major publishers. Kitamura stated that he foresees that much more customization will be needed for magazines and mail order catalogs and this new service will be called "Premier Service."
