Rising direct-to-consumer sales hit bump in June at Jos. A Bank Clothiers
Combined catalog and Internet sales declined 0.5% in June at Jos. A Bank Clothiers Inc., but climbed 11.5% for the first five months ended July 5, the men`s apparel retailer reports.
Total sales for June (which includes the Fourth of July holiday weekend on Bank`s fiscal calendar) rose 25.5% to a record $25.5 million, up from $20.3 million from the comparable period last year. Comparable store sales, or stores open at least a year, rose 15.2%.
For the five months ended July 5, total sales rose 15.8% to $109.2 million, compared with $94.3 million in the year-ago period, while comp store sales rose 4.6%.
