Combined catalog and Internet sales declined 0.5% in June at Jos. A Bank Clothiers Inc., but climbed 11.5% for the first five months ended July 5, the men's apparel retailer reports.
Total sales for June (which includes the Fourth of July holiday weekend on Bank's fiscal calendar) rose 25.5% to a record $25.5 million, up from $20.3 million from the comparable period last year. Comparable store sales, or stores open at least a year, rose 15.2%.
For the five months ended July 5, total sales rose 15.8% to $109.2 million, compared with $94.3 million in the year-ago period, while comp store sales rose 4.6%.
