— Leading multi-channel retailer builds new retail enterprise solution to support expansion—

Irvine, CA – August 26, 2002 – Island Pacific, a division of SVI Solutions, Inc. (AMEX: SVI), announced today that it has completed the implementation of Island Pacific`s Merchandise Management system for Idaho-based Coldwater Creek, Inc. (Nasdaq: CWTR), a multi-channel retailer of women’s apparel, jewelry, gifts and accessories. Island Pacific`s Merchandising, Sales Audit and Ticketing modules were integrated into Coldwater Creek`s existing catalog, Web, warehouse and financial systems to build a new retail enterprise solution.

Coldwater Creek plans to open additional retail store locations across the country. The company has opened 6 stores so far in fiscal 2002, putting a total of 37 full-line stores in operation. “Our goal, as we continue our rapid expansion into multiple channels, is to create a `channel neutral` customer environment,” said Tom Scott, Coldwater Creeks Chief Operations Officer and Chief Information Officer. “What this means is that no matter how our customers interact with us - in our stores, through our catalogs or via the Web - we want their experience to be consistently excellent. Island Pacific`s Merchandise Management system is a key element in the overall solution we are putting in place to meet this goal. This system will provide the tools and analysis needed to successfully grow and expand our retail store chain.”

Coleen McNally, Island Pacific’s Chief Operating Officer, commented, “Coldwater Creek has a strong customer-centric philosophy, not unlike Island Pacific, that I believe has driven their success. They have been extremely effective at selling across multiple channels, reporting better-than-expected earnings performance for the fiscal 2002 first quarter ended June 1, despite a weak economy. Island Pacific`s Merchandise Management system was developed to support multi-channel retailing and we have several retailers who have put our solution to work for them. This implementation gives us an opportunity to once again demonstrate how well Island Pacific can perform in a multi-channel environment. In this case, under the high standards that Coldwater Creek holds us to.”

A Growing Solution for a Growing Retailer

Island Pacific is committed to a guaranteed migration path that ensures customers always have access to our latest technology developments. Because Island Pacific`s core products are continually revised by customer-driven modifications and internal development, customers receive robust, feature-rich product upgrades. For a growing retailer like Coldwater Creek, this is of critical importance. “When we choose our solution partners, we know we are making a huge commitment of time and resources,” said Scott. “It was clear that Island Pacific`s solution offered the highest value today as well as a continued return on our investment in the years to come.”

A Complete Solution Means Going Beyond Delivering A Superior Product

Island Pacific provides retailers with a fully integrated suite of software to manage the spectrum of merchandising activities, but to Island Pacific, a solution can only be complete if it is successfully implemented and maintained. Island Pacific has built a strong team of experts who offer a full range of professional services. These services include consulting, technical development and modifications, project management, systems implementation and retail business process re-engineering. “With the fast expansion of our retail store locations, it was critical that we get the Island Pacific system up and running as quickly as possible,” said Scott. “This was a clean and successful implementation. Everyone at Island Pacific, from the business and technical consultants to the project managers to the applications specialists, were knowledgeable, committed, and a pleasure to work with.”
