Home Box Office launches a web store through GSI

Cable television network Home Box Office has launched a retail web site, developed and operated by GSI Commerce Inc., selling licensed products tied to HBO programs such as “The Sopranos,” GSI said today.

GSI is providing product merchandising, fulfillment and customer service in addition to an e-commerce platform. The new site, Store.HBO.com, went live Nov. 8. Post-launch plans call for a marketing strategy covering affiliate marketing, paid Internet search and e-mail, GSI says.
