Shopping.com launches cash-back offers to registered customers


To build customer loyalty just in time for the holiday shopping season, comparison shopping site Shopping.com today launched a cash-back program that refunds shoppers who sign up for its Smart Shoppers Club up to 5% of the purchase price from participating retailers.

"We believe this is the perfect way to reward our members, who count on Shopping.com to help them find the right product, from the right store, at the right price,” says Sarah Leary, vice president of product. “As holiday shopping is already underway, we know people will appreciate saving extra money on everything from cameras to car seats to clothing."

Shoppers who visit participating retailers on Shopping.com are prompted to join the Shopping.com Smart Shopper Club. After signing in with an e-mail address and other information, the shopper gains an account that will post her purchase history and status of cash-back awards. Shopping.com will mail refund checks to members once every there months.

Shopping.com is the brand name for the combined DealTime.com, a shopping comparison site, and consumer research site Epinions.com.
