Coradiant Takes Next Step in Revolutionizing Real-Time Web Session Monitoring and Analysis for Quick Error Detection and Repair

TrueSight(tm) TS-1100 Builds Upon Coradiant`s Award-Winning and Easy-To-Use TrueSight Platform by Integrating Full-Web-Session Drill-down And Monitoring

Waltham, Mass., April 26, 2005 - Coradiant, Inc.(tm), a leader in real-time session monitoring equipment for data center applications, today announced the TrueSight TS-1100 Real-User Monitor, which provides unprecedented diagnostic drill-down incident-management capabilities and service-level reporting in one transparent, easy-to-install platform that requires no changes to software, networks, or content.

Coradiant`s TrueSight platform offers the quickest, most economical way for IT organizations to adopt real-user monitoring to improve their business operations. It goes beyond synthetic sampling to deliver real-user service-level management in a much less expensive, turnkey platform, dramatically improving long-term data center performance, traffic and availability monitoring while enabling organizations to uncover, diagnose, repair and report even transient problems in mission-critical Web systems. Problems that might happen only intermittently to a small percentage of users - such as those involving a certain browser, product code, cookie, service provider or form - can now be found and fixed in minutes, without consuming significant resources or risking lost business opportunities, and often well before they cause user dissatisfaction, on-line revenue disruption or other business challenges.

"TrueSight TS-1100 takes real-user monitoring to the next level, giving IT operations drill-down analytical tools to troubleshoot needle-in-the-haystack problems that increasingly cost companies time and money while adversely affecting customer satisfaction," said Mike Chuli, president and chief executive officer of Coradiant. "A single site error can have enormous economic impact, but TrueSight TS-1100 quicklydetects and isolates errors, and delivers the tools to find hidden patterns behind even the most complex problems. Our single-chassis, highly secure and easy-to-integrate platform has the industry`s lowest total cost of ownership, and delivers meaningful information and analysis to enterprises and service providers within hours of deployment."

TrueSight TS-1100 builds on Coradiant`s Transparent Session Extractor (TSX) engine, which powers the company`s award-winning TrueSight solutions in dozens of production data centers worldwide. The TSX engine transparently monitors and collects user sessions, in real-time, and shows performance and availability problems as they occur - often before they impact business applications - while retaining detailed forensic information to find and fix problems quickly. The fully-contained, drop-in platform immediately begins reporting useful data without costly integration efforts or dependence on any other devices, software, or the support of specialized IT consultants.

"TrueSight provides significant benefits for BrassRing that are specific to our hosted applications, in a turnkey solution that installs in 30 minutes without introducing any system load or requiring application or server modifications," said Kamal Jain, director of service operations, BrassRing. "The latest session-level monitoring capabilities are particularly beneficial, enabling us to quickly locate and repair critical problems. What used to take hours of investigation, data correlation and troubleshooting now takes minutes, and we see what`s occurring to every user, even in a complex and sophisticated environment. TrueSight pulls the interesting data out of the noise, helping us to know if errors are happening so that we can be proactive about fixing them."

Product details

TrueSight TS-1100 pioneers the Service Level Management concept of monitoring, seeing and reporting the actual performance for every user and user session, in real time. Every object, page, and interaction related to each user in each session is analyzed for errors and measured for performance. This includes every application, server, network, encryption, and redirection delay. All information is scrubbed for confidentiality and stored for drill-down analysis in Coradiant`s intuitive TS-1100 Snapshot Browser, which looks at sessions according to a rich query interface.TrueSight TS-1100 also monitors and analyzes key application elements using Coradiant`s earlier, proven Watchpoint(tm) technology, which has been tied directly to the TS-1100 Snapshot Browser. Watchpoints pare down thousands of transactions a second to look at specific users, sites, functions, infrastructure elements, or parts of the Internet. IT professionals can generate long-term reports on user satisfaction, capacity, availability, and service levels, and then switch to the session Snapshot Browser to see individual incidents, and utilize the auto-analyzer to find a common cause to problems.

With the TS-1100 platform, all Watchpoints, Snapshots, and auto-analysis reports are seamlessly integrated in an easy-to-use interface, allowing the review of vital information and the resolution of complex problems within hours of deployment. Additionally, TrueSight TS-1100 can integrate with enterprise management software (EMS) systems in data monitoring environments where operations managers increasingly need a more complete picture than is possible with device-level EMS systems, alone. The information can also be made available for export to business intelligence tools for offline analysis of structured relational data, and to spreadsheet applications for quick PivotTable analysis and ad-hoc querying.

"An effective infrastructure management strategy must include a verification of actual results. At the end of the day, all system management products have a single goal: making sure that the application is delivered at the right time and with the right performance level. Monitoring what happens at the end-user level is the ultimate judge of whether IT does a good job or not," stated Jean-Pierre Garbani, U.S. vice president and analyst at Forrester Research, from the report entitled Managing Performance >From The End User Perspective, Forrester Research, Inc., November 2004.

By integrating the new TS-1100 incident-management capabilities with earlier service-level management functions, Coradiant has given IT organizations a single, authoritative source of traffic, performance and availability information with which to find, reproduce, triage and resolve problems that plague IT operations, reducing diagnostic time and cutting IT operations costs. This also enables proactive, more accurate reporting of capacity and performance issues, which leads to better service level agreement (SLA) accuracy, fewer refunds and improved business productivity. Additionally, the TS-1100 further reduces total cost of ownership by eliminating theexpense of alternative testing methods and equipment, and enabling organizations to ramp up applications quickly because they can now "test and know" on the fly.

Other TS-1100 features include improved incident management capabilities, including built-in detection of more than 30 common errors, with the ability to define 100 custom errors. The incident management component of TrueSight`s user analysis toolkit takes data generated by TrueSight`s proven TSX engine and guides operators through an intuitive, open-ended workflow that let them find the cause of "brownout" problems before users complain and customers turn elsewhere.
